About This Internship
HYE GAMING, a dynamic esports organization, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Tournament Operator Intern. This unpaid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in organizing and managing esports tournaments, honing valuable skills in event coordination within the esports industry.
Responsibilities:
Tournament Planning: Assist in the planning and organization of esports tournaments, including selecting game titles, creating tournament brackets, and establishing rules and guidelines.
Participant Communication: Communicate tournament details to participants, including schedules, rules, and registration information. Provide timely responses to participant inquiries and support.
Streaming and Broadcasting: Collaborate with streaming teams to ensure tournaments are broadcasted live on appropriate platforms. Oversee the technical aspects of the live stream and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Match Coordination: Coordinate match schedules, ensuring matches start on time and run smoothly. Resolve disputes and enforce tournament rules when necessary.
Results and Reporting: Collect match results, update brackets, and maintain accurate records of tournament progress. Prepare and distribute post-tournament reports, including statistics and highlights.
Community Engagement: Interact with tournament participants and viewers, addressing concerns, answering questions, and fostering a positive community atmosphere.
Requirements:
Passion for Esports: Genuine enthusiasm for the esports industry, including knowledge of popular games, teams, players, and tournaments.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple aspects of tournament operations simultaneously.
Communication: Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact professionally with participants, teammates, and viewers.
Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making skills and the ability to handle disputes and unexpected issues during tournaments.
Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with gaming platforms, streaming software, and tournament management tools. Basic knowledge of esports titles and their respective rules.

Requirements
You must have passion for gaming and esports! HYE GAMING puts heart into every project, we look for people who want to make a change.
For legal reasons, you must be a United States citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States. Exceptions are only for projects taking place outside of the United States.
You must be willing to work remote (have your own reliable computer) and have experience using computers, Discord, and Google Suits.
Please come prepared. As an intern, you are not a professional, but you should already know at least the basics of what it takes to be in this career field. We are not going to teach you how to use Discord or your own computer. However, we will be teaching everything you need to know, inorder to better yourself to enter your chosen career field.
